The owner of this home in Carmel wanted to update
 their family room and make it more 
bright & cheerful.

Her are a few  photos before.

This is a photo of the original built in bookcases.
 We eliminated the scalloped valance board at the 
top and removed the louver doors at the bottom. 
We built two new paint grade base cabinets with 
raised panel doors and 4 drawers.  These new
 base cabinets where build deeper to encase the
 hearth to create a more custom built in look.
 We then removed the old mantel and  
 build a new mantel with custom 
plinth blocks and crown mold. 

We removed the ceiling beams and installed paint grade 
crown mold around the entire room. 

This photo shows the completed room.

Recessed can lights with dimmers where installed to help
 give the new room makeover a warm and friendly look.
